Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 21, 2026

Privacy isn't a feature we bolt on — it's the whole point of ipcow. This policy describes what we do and (mostly) don't collect, in plain language.

The short version

  • No analytics that identify you, no advertising networks, no fingerprinting.
  • No third-party scripts, fonts, or trackers from Google, Microsoft, Apple or CDNs.
  • We don't sell, rent, or share your data. There's nothing to sell.
  • Your lookups are processed by our own code and are never handed to a third-party API.

What we process

When you use a tool, the input you provide (an IP, domain, or URL) is processed to produce a result. Requests may appear briefly in operational server logs used only to keep the service running and secure; these are short-lived and are never used to build a profile of you or sold to anyone.

The What's My IP feature shows you your own public address. We don't store it against your identity or associate it with your activity.

Cookies & local storage

We don't use tracking cookies. Your light/dark theme choice is saved in your browser's localStorage and never leaves your device.

Third parties

DNS is resolved over Quad9, RDAP queries go to the regional internet registries, and connectivity probes run on our own servers. We deliberately avoid third-party SaaS that would profile our visitors.

Accounts (when available)

If you create an account for the dashboard or API, we store the minimum needed to run it — your email and authentication data — handled by our own auth system. We will never sell it. You can delete your account and associated data at any time.

Your choices

Most tools require no account and store nothing about you. For any data request or question, email privacy@ipcow.com.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. Material changes will be noted on the blog.
